BACKGROUND
Luftven was born in Traes under the Kingdom of Ergos. Luftven spent most of his childhood learning and training under his father who was the Marshal of the Ergos. By age 24 Ergos was declared war on by the Duchy of Rhenus. The long and brutal war between the two led to not only the death of his father but the end of the kingdom. Ergos was split into numerous provinces with the most significant being the split of Traes. The city was cut into two parts, Traes Dax and Traes Vos, this is due to the city being built around the river Yarbalt. Although this didn’t really change the city much, the split did cause some conflicts within the city. Luftven would join the Rhenusian army out of fear of the city going into rebellion. Joining the 198th Ergos Garrison on the Traes Dax side of the city, he would be thrust into his first battle with rebellious groups within the city. Luftven quickly made a name for himself by his superiors from this and would go on to move into the official army by age 28.
Luftvens triumphs would follow him through the numerous campaigns he took part in under King Maximillious and later Pernerios. Luftven would participate in the extremely deadly battle of Baverraine Hill. One of the most significant battles in history. He would barely escape with his life as he helped escort Pernerios out from the battlefield after he took a serious wound from a magical bolt. Luftven would take numerous hits himself but managed to recover from them. The battle was left victorious for the King but at great cost to the Rhenusian army.
The next decade would lead Luftven through the ranks of the army as well as many more campaigns all around Valenaar. By age 70 Luftven had been promoted to rank of Commander of the Ergos Regimental Army. Significant campaigns he led during this time would be advancements through Netra and the Escela Islands. Luftven was also the first Rhenusian official to make contact with the Aetheician Elves of Aetheica.
After the death of Pernerios, Luftven was called back to Rhenus by the new King, Tillious. From here he was promoted to Marshal and given the sword Agatha. His promotion came to a great surprise to many other generals and military advisors to Tillious. Despite this, Tillious was sure of Luftvens abilities. However Luftven would not go on any campaigns of conquest during this time, but would oversee the diplomatic annexation of the Aetheician Elves under Tillious. By age 205 he would meet his current mate, Karzez, marrying her and only 4 years later having his first child, Kirk.
By age 245 Luftven would begin more campaigns under Umbria Catonia. Umbria favored luftven greatly as he fought ruthlessly in the campaigns through Eskaecia and the Desnyae Reaches. Luftven would find one of this greatest triumphs by defeating King Merrick of Acha who had warded off Umbria numerous times. Luftvens campaigns would see him learning naval tactics under Arolithos IV with the official foundation of the Royal Navy. He would help colonize the outer reaches of the Votae Wastelands and set up proper garrisons in the colonies.
Under Servious II he would see the foundation of the Vahren Imperium. This only led to even more campaigns this time into Nullinaria Iusnesh and Illaria. Luftven would successfully siege and capture Al-Jabigh and Shaoxing during this time and with the royal marriage of the Vahrens from Rhenus to the Elf nobility in Asyha Edhil, he would find himself in numerous battles across Nullinaria.
By age 289, He would have his second child, a daughter named Yonress.
By age 352 Luftven had led a long and very successful career as Marshal of the Empire. Under Caelus Postunius II, Luftven would help formalize the empires control over the continent. His most successful invention, known as the Fiery Talon, was used to great effect against the Kingdom of Odrana. A siege engine still used by the empire to this day. Its effective range and accuracy made it one of the deadliest siege engines in use by the Empire.
